The National Students Union of India (NSUI), the student wing of the Congress has decided to challenge the three different versions of orders issued by the Director of Goa University’s Directorate of Students Welfare Dattesh Parulekar with regard to the current year’s students council election result.
The NSUI has alleged that Parulekar acted biased and changed his earlier order which declared Congress-backed panel as the winner. A fresh order which declared the panel affiliated to the BJP as the winner was issued by Parulekar later.
“Our legal team is analysing the orders. We will soon file a complaint against Parulekar before the Vigilance Department and then follow a legal course”, said Ahraz Mulla president of
NSUI’s Goa unit.
“Dattesh Parulekar had earlier disqualified the entry of the BJP-affiliated candidates for having no proposers and seconders and the Congress-backed panel was declared winner. But surprisingly this decision was reverted and a fresh order of BJP-backed candidates winning was declared,” Mulla alleged, adding that a total of three orders which are contrary to each other were issued.
