OLD GOA
Chief Minister Pramod Sawant was all praise for St Cruz MLA Tony Fernandes for doing a commendable job during Covid even without caring for his own safety.
“Tony has done a commendable work during Covid as he has personally shifted patients in the GMC in his own vehicle, even without wearing PPE kit,” said Sawant during the inauguration of the police outpost at Santa Cruz.
“I would say that among all the 40 MLAs, Tony has done an appreciable work during Covid,” he added.
At the same function, Fernandes was critical of his opponents for trying to take credit for the completing of the Santa Cruz police outpost project, stating that anybody can propose projects.
“Any Tom, Dick or Harry can propose projects but credit goes to only the one who works to completing the project,” Fernandes stated. “The proposal for the police outpost was pending for more than 30 years but it never became a reality. Today when our government has completed the project, some persons are out to take credit stating that they were the ones who proposed the same,” he informed.
