MARGAO
With around 12 students from South Goa still holed up in war-torn Ukraine, Additional Collector, South Surendra Naik on Tuesday drafted his officials to the homes of some of the students stranded in Ukraine with a message that the Indian government and its embassy are doing their best to get the students out of the war-torn country.
Naik, who called on a family of one of the students, told The Goan that district officials were deputed to call on the families of the 12 students who are still holed up in Ukraine.
“We briefed the parents of the wards who are still holed up in Ukraine. We have brought to the notice of the parents how the government of Goa has gone about the task of ensuring the safe evacuation of the stranded Indians, including the students from Goa”, he said.
