The Old Goa police arrested an accused Greville Eric Henry wanted by the Howrah police, Kolkata, in connection with a cheating case.
According to information available, Howrah PSI Sirshendo Golabari approached the Old Goa police station and provided information about the accused Henry, a resident of Thane-Maharashtra who was wanted in a cheating case.
Accordingly, Old Goa PI Satish Padwalkar informed the North SP and DySP and formed three teams for search and backup.
An intense search was carried out for two days at Carambolim, Divar, Old Goa and Corlim after which the accused was apprehended by the Old Goa police and handed over to Howrah police.
Minor boy traced
In another case, the Old Goa police were able to trace a minor boy Somu Sharma (3) who was reported missing since Sunday morning.
The Old Goa police traced the boy by late afternoon and handed him to his uncle Rajkapoor Sharma.
