OLD GOA
The Additional Director of Panchayats (ADP) posted the Old Goa structure case for August 17 when the hearing in the matter came up on Thursday.
Speaking to The Goan, ADP Umakant Korkankar informed that the appellant was supposed to file written arguments but he was prepared to argue orally.
“As there was no point in arguing orally, I asked him to file written arguments for which the appellant sought time. Accordingly, the matter has been posted for August 17, where the written arguments will be filed by the appellant and oral arguments will also be heard,” Korkankar stated.
“The appellant has further been asked to furnish copies of the written arguments well in advance to the three intervenors and also the respondent which is the Old Goa panchayat. After hearing all parties, the order on whether to allow the intervenors or not will be passed,” the ADP stated.
“Only after that, will the merits of the case be decided,” he added.
