Porvorim Police booked a resident from Sangolda for rash and negligent driving on Tuesday.
According to the police, the accused Santosh Sahani (29) was proceeding on his two-wheeler on Sunday from Reis Magos towards Sangolda. When he reached Verem he lost control of his scooter and in the process the pillion rider, Manju Devi (40) fell on the road and sustained head injuries.
A case of rash and negligent driving under Section 279 and 337 IPC has been registered against the accused.
Porvorim Police are investigating further.
