One held for demolishing toilet
MAPUSA: Mapusa Police on Monday arrested a man on charges of demolishing a toilet and assaulting and molesting a woman at D'Mello Waddo, Canca.
According to Mapusa Police, the incident occurred in the morning when the complainant was building a toilet under the Clean India Mission scheme. The accused Pundalik Kalangutkar rushed to the spot and started demolishing the toilet. The complainant and her sister intervened into the matter.
Police said while the argument was going on, the accused allegedly assaulted the complainant and her sister, abused them and later outraged the modesty of the complainant.
Mapusa Police arrested the accused and PI Paresh Ramnathkar is investigating the case.
