MARGAO:
The Maina Curtorim police have arrested one Tipanna, a native of Karnataka for allegedly pelting stones on a Holy Cross at Nuvem.
The accused has been booked under section 298 of the BNS.
The arrest follows a complaint lodged by one Cajetan D’Silva, a resident of Gorvotte-Nuvem stating that the accused went near a Holy Cross at Gorvotte and pelted stones on the Cross and damaged the electricity fixture attached to the structure, thereby defiling and hurting the religious sentiments.
