Due to non-compliance of statutory conditions, the State Registrar has ordered to close down the Corlim-based Garware Goa Nets Empl Co-operative Credit Society Ltd. The registrar has also appointed a liquidator for the co-op credit society.
Earlier, Registrar of a Co-operative Society had issued a show-cause notice to the directors on the Board of the Garware Goa Nets Empl Co-op Credit Society Ltd. But directors didn’t turn up to the hearing scheduled on March 17, 2020. The directors did not even give any written reply while the credit society chairman failed to provide the status of functioning the society.
“From the documents available with this office it is clear that the society has not complied with the statutory requirement from last many years and also not submitted the status as regards to the functioning of the society. From the above facts and circumstances, an inference can be drawn that no purpose will be served if the society is allowed to continue further,” inferred the Registrar of Co-operative societies in an order issued.
The registrar has appointed Chandu Raikar, Jr Auditor, Co-operative Societies, Central Zone, Panaji as the Liquidator of the Garware Goa Nets Empl Co-op Credit Society Ltd, Corlim, Ilhas, Goa.
