Ore transportation resumes at Codli

CURCHOREM

Ore transportation from Codli mines to Capxem commenced on Wednesday under police protection.

Curchorem senior PSI Ashok Dessai, who was present at the site, informed that about 30 policemen including a IRB police van and some police jeeps were deployed at various spots along the Codli-Capxem route.

When contacted, Curchorem Police said they had received an application requesting for police protection to resume ore transportation.

“We have been patrolling there since Tuesday to avoid any law and order situation,” PSI Dessai said.
