Over 6k Karnataka migrants leave

VALPOI: Around 6,000 migrants have so far left the State via the Keri border check post.

Strict measures have been in place by various teams posted at the check post to scrutinise the identity and travel documents of the migrants, before allowing them to leave the State. Each day, hundreds of migrants arrive at the Keri border check post from different parts of Goa and they are then subjected to multiple checks.

The Karnataka government has arranged several buses for the migrants who cross the Goa border and proceed to their native places.
