"Panaji polls will be announced in five to six days and the code of conduct will be enforced," he stated.
The CM, who has represented the constituency from 1994 till he was elevated to the position of Union Defence Minister in November 2014, said that he is confident of winning the seat.
"I will surely win in Panaji. But the point is never to just scrape a win. I want a landslide victory," he said
drawing the analogy of winning a cricket match by hitting a six.
Speaking at a public interaction organised to discuss the issues and grievances concerning infrastructure at Kadamba bus stand, Parrikar explained that upgradation work cannot be initiated
till the code of conduct is in force.
Parrikar then sought blessings of Lord Ganesha at the temple located within the premises of KTC stand.
