The South Goa Sessions Judge Irshad Agha on Friday issued directions to prosecution witness DySP Sudesh Naik to remain present in the court at the next date of hearing on March 24 in the Panaji police station attack case.
The examination of DySP Naik, who was heading the Panaji Police Station as Police inspector, when the incident occurred over a decade ago, had started in the case at the last date of hearing.
The CBI Prosecutor Naushad, however, submitted to the Court that DySP Sudesh Naik could not make it to the Court since he is attending custody matters in the Panaji Sessions Court.
The case will now come up for hearing on March 31.
Revenue Minister Atanasio Monserrate, wife Jennifer and other accused persons were present in the Court room.
