Chief Minister Laxmikant Parsekar on Tuesday launched the e-registration of IT/ITES/ESDM units under the IT Investment Policy 2015-16 at a function held at Secretariat, Porvorim.
The government had unveiled the IT Investment Policy on December 31, 2015 which made it mandatory for companies to register with the government for availing benefits pertaining to electricity, VAT, etc. The launch of e-registration system will help IT units to register under a single window interface as well as receive claims under the IT Investment Policy.
While interacting with the media, the Chief Minister informed that the e“registration system will help create a conductive atmosphere for the IT Industry in the State. The IT units will create employment opportunities for the youth, and the e“registration through a single window system will help boost the IT Industry in the State, he added. Principal Chief Secretary, IT and Director General STPI, Government of India, Dr Omkar Rai signed the MOU in the presence of the Chief Minister Laxmikant Parsekar. Amey Abhyankar, Director DOIT, Nilesh Phaldessai, MD, ITG, Nitin Kuncolienkar, member of Investment Promotion Board, staff of DOIT and STPI and others were present at the function.
