Chief Minister Laxmimant Parsekar on Saturday lauded the yeoman service rendered

by the Kamani Foundation, the organisers of free Jaipur Foot camp, saying that other NGOs should take a cue from the foundation in serving the society.

“Many a times, we come across NGOs trying to stall projects mooted by the government. But, we

have the Kamani Foundation, Rajkot, which has been organizing the free Jaipur Foot camp

across the society for the disabled and handicapped. This is an ideal NGO and others should take

a cue from it,” the chief minister said after visiting the camp held at the Karwarkar hall, at the Rajendra Prasad stadium, Margao on Saturday.

The chief minster has appealed to the people to take advantage of the four-day free Jaipur foot

camp underway in Margao since Friday. "The government may come out with schemes for the

poor and the downtrodden, but the service rendered by the Kamani Foundation in association with

Shree Gajanan Maharaj Trust and Bhagwan Mahavir Viklang Sahayata Samiti deserves

appreciation,” he said.
