Patanjali has launched Dant Kanti Gandusha Oil Pulling, describing it as a research and evidence-based Ayurvedic formulation to support oral health, including conditions like pyorrhoea and gum disease. The launch was held in the presence of Swami Ramdev, Acharya Balkrishna, and senior members of the Indian Dental Association’s Uttarakhand branch.
Swami Ramdev said the launch marks a new milestone in Ayurveda and Yoga, adding that Patanjali aims to present a synergy of culture, tradition and science before the world. He emphasised that ancient Indian knowledge remains relevant in modern times.
Acharya Balkrishna said the product is the outcome of three years of research by scientists at Patanjali Research Institute and is a part of daily Ayurvedic practice known as dinacharya. He described Dant Kanti Gandusha Oil Pulling as a therapeutic science that can address current dental health challenges, using natural ingredients such as tumburu oil, clove oil, peppermint oil, eucalyptus oil and tulsi oil.
Dr Vishwajit Walia, Secretary of the Indian Dental Association, Uttarakhand, said the product would be highly effective in promoting oral health and praised Patanjali’s efforts in research and evidence-based product development.
Senior dental professionals attending the event noted the product’s relevance for modern lifestyles, adding that it offers a natural, safe and effective solution for oral hygiene.
Patanjali stated it will continue to launch evidence-based dental products while promoting Ayurveda globally.
