Pedestrian injured at Sonsodo

MARGAO: A 45-year-old person was injured in an accident at Sonsodo when he was knocked down by a car.

According to Margao town police, the accident occurred on April 20, when a lady who was driving a car and proceeding from Curtorim to Borda knocked down the pedestrian, one Maruti (45), resident of Sonsodo, injuring him.

Margao town police registered an offence under Sections 279 and 337 of IPC.

Trespass plaint in Margao

MARGAO: Acting on the complaint lodged by one Balduion, a resident of Madel-Margao, the Margao town police have registered an offence against unidentified persons who criminally trespassed into the complainant's paddy field at Davondem prior to April 18, and illegally dumped mud on the bandh in the said field of the complainant.

Margao town police have registered an offence under Section 447 of IPC. Further investigations are in progress.
