Stating that Congress party believes in the principles of democracy and many people are getting attracted towards party, North Goa Congress President Vijay Bhike claimed that Congress party would return to power in the State in future.
He was speaking during a news conference organised by the Pernem Block Congress Committee at Malpem-Pernem.
Speaking further Bhike accused police force for not having control over drugs mafia. "I challenge Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar to nab the big drug mafias, instead of seizing ganja," he added.
"Seizing ganja wont root out drugs, arrest drugs mafias to free Goa from drugs," demanded Bhike.
Pernem block Congress president Umesh Talavnekar condemn Tourism Minister and local MLA Manohar alias Babu Azgaonkar for only doing foreign trips and ignoring Pernem constituency.
"People have now realised that electing Azgaonkar was their big mistake. Azgaonkar is neglecting the Bahujan samaj when injustice is done by the BJP government," he added.
"Instead of developing Pernem constituency, Azgaonkar is enjoying foreign trips. He had assured the people to remain 24 hours in their service, but once in a week he visits his office and creates sensationalism by calling government servants during the public visits," alleged Talavnekar.
North Goa Congress General Secretary Subhash Kerkar, vice-president Dasharath Mahale, Arambl former sarpanch Daniel D'Souza and others were present.
