“During the 2012 elections, the Congress party despite ruling the State was relegated to fourth position in Cortalim. It will be no different this time,” Rodrigues said, adding that people know which candidate is politically suitable to represent them in the Assembly.
Rodrigues who came second after late Matanhy Saldanha on GVP ticket in 2012 Assembly elections said not only the people from Cortalim constituency but also from other parts of Goa know her political acumen, due to which people have elected her for the fourth time in a row as ZP member.
Stating that her poor acquaintance with the residents of Zuari Nagar was a reason for the loss in the last Assembly elections, Rodrigues said people of Zuari Nagar have now realised her capacity to serve them despite not being in power and that would be demonstrated in the 2017 elections where her vote-share
would be high throughout the constituency.
