Former Karnataka Law minister HK Patil has accusedUnion Minister PralhadJoshi of misleading peopleby showing unauthoriseddocuments in the controversial Kalasa-Bhanduraproject.

Addressing a news conference in the city, he said thegovernment has woken upafter the agitation was startedby the Congress party.

“BJP's skill is to lie anddeceive innocent farmers.When the election comes, theBJP lies. Misleading all concerned, former Karnataka CMYeddyurappa showed certainfalse documents that showedthe ire against the then Goanleaders who were protestingagainst the implementationof the controversial project.Yeddyurappa had revealedthat it was a bogus letter,a false document," Patiladded.

“I remember the first meeting with Bommai. After I became the Irrigation Minister,I held many meetings. Duringour time we prepared DPR.We have submitted our DPRto the central government andwe got permission. He saidpermission has been receivedto use the water for drinkingpurposes.
