Power Minister, Pandurang Madkaikar told The Goan that after hearing the woes of ministers and MLAs over the poor maintenance of the LED streets light, the department is working a system wherein citizens may be able to call on a dedicated toll free number to register their complaints. “Since the LED lights are installed and maintained by a private agency, with the department exercising little control over the operation of the lights, the power department will soon come up with a dedicate number which will help citizens to register their complaints,” he said.
He pointed out that while the department attends to complaints registered on toll free number 1912, the private agency will attend to all complaints relating to non functioning and defunct LED lights.
