In a shocking case involving allegations of sexual assault within police premises, Old Goa Police have registered an FIR against Crime Branch Police Inspector Vikas Deykar and a woman, Ranjini Palyekar, in connection with the alleged sexual assault of a minor girl.
According to the complaint, Deykar allegedly sexually assaulted the minor on two occasions, July 25 and October 27, 2026, at the Crime Branch premises in Ribandar. Palyekar has been named as the second accused for allegedly facilitating the offences.
According to a statement issued by the PRO, North Goa District Police, the case has been registered under Sections 75, 127, 49 and 61(2)(a), read with Section 3(5), of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), 2023, and Sections 10 and 12 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
Further investigation into the case is underway.
