Fomento Resources Private Limited on Monday organised an ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ plantation programme in collaboration with the Sanguem forest department at Block IV–Kalay Mineral Block at the Sai Temple in Dukorkond, Santona.
The programme was graced by the presence of forest department officials Sadanand Gaonkar and Gauresh Gaonkar, along with company officials Sanjay Kumar and Mandar Dessai (Mines Manager).
The event witnessed participation from the company staff and workers, who actively took part in the plantation drive and awareness activities.
As part of the initiative, forest department officials distributed about 500 saplings among the staff and workers and planted fruit-bearing trees at the Sai Baba Temple, Santona, symbolising a shared commitment to environmental conservation and sustainable development.
An awareness session was also conducted to educate the staff and workers about the importance of tree plantation, the vital role of forests in maintaining ecological balance, and the collective responsibility of protecting the environment for future generations.
Staff and workers also presented an environmental awareness skit highlighting the importance of planting, nurturing, and conserving trees. Their performance conveyed the message of environmental conservation and inspired participants to actively contribute towards building a greener and more sustainable future.
