Poinguinim local dies in self accident

CANACONA: A 67-year-old man from Wellwaddo-Poinguinim died in a self-accident along the Gimnem highway in Canacona.
According to Canacona Police, Sudhash Faldessai was proceeding on his scooter from Poinguinim to Canacona, when he fell off the vehicle at Gimnem highway. He was rushed to Community Health Centre, where the doctors declared him dead on arrival. He was reported to have died of injuries he had sustained in the self accident.
Canacona Police conducted the inquest panchanama and the body was referred to Hospicio Hospital in Margao for post-mortem investigation.
Police is conducting further investigation, as family has reportedly decided to conduct the final rites on Friday, informed sources.
