Colva police have registered an FIR against a person with an Instagram account for allegedly downloading, viewing and transmitting electronic content depicting children engaged in sexual acts.
According to the FIR, the content depicted children in a manner that could offend a reasonable adult viewing it on computer resources. The accused also allegedly failed to report the matter to the concerned authorities.
A case has been registered under Section 15(1) of the POCSO Act and Section 67-B of the Information Technology Act. Further investigation is underway.
