The Cuncolim police has registered a FIR against a person from Sarzora for inducing a resident of Cansaulim to transfer an amount of Rs 4.5 lakh on the pretext of providing employment opportunity in Germany.
The complainant stated that since June 26, 2026 to 31st July 2026, the accused person, pretended to be a recruiting agent, with his dishonest intention induced him to transfer the amount of Rs. 4,50,000 by different modes of payment on pretext of providing employment opportunity to the complainant in Germany.
He further stated in his complaint that that the accused person stopped responding to his calls and further failed to provide the job and did not return the money, thereby, cheating him to the tune of Rs 4.5 lakh.
A case under section 318(4) of BNS stands registered against the accused.
