MARGAO

Ahead of the Lok Sabha elections, the Aam Aadmi party juggernaut rolled into Rumdamol housing board village in Navelim constituency on Monday, but party state convenor Elvis Gomes had to cut short his address after the police arrived at the scene and insisted for the permission to hold the meeting.

AAP leaders maintained that no permission is required to hold a meeting when they use the microphone with very low decibels.  The men in uniform, however, stuck to their stand, maintaining that no meeting can take place using a microphone.

The police came at the venue when Gomes was addressing a group of people. Unfazed by the police action, the AAP leaders continued their interaction with the people, but without a microphone.

Earlier, in a speech transitioning between Konkani to Hindi and vice versa, AAP convenor Elvis Gomes appeared to touch the chord among people in a simple explanation of how the Delhi Govt of the Aam Aadmi Party was working.
