Policy to regularise contract workers within four months

"The government has analysed this issue in detail. I want to assure you that within the next four months the government will come out with a policy for all the employees on contract and temporary basis so that they get justice," he said, adding that there are employees working in government departments for more than five years on
contract basis.
"This is not tolerable. We have to now decide properly. Some compassion has to be taken into consideration. I will not go into the details of who has employed these workers. There is a need to give some relief to them legally. This policy will be applicable to all departments," he informed. He also firmly stated that once the policy is framed, no department will be allowed to employ people on contract basis.
"Once the policy is drafted, I will call a meeting of all the MLAs, including the Opposition, and take suggestions from them. I have done preliminary study to study all types of contracts. These will be abolished and the said employees will be absorbed properly provided they
fulfill the laid down criteria," he informed.
