Though they had announced State and district presidents, the committees were not announced.
Speaking to media persons after the meeting at a city hotel, Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar said, \"The main thing discussed was the formation of State and district committees. We also discussed on the responsibilities to be entrusted to different members and the preferences to be given to the youth and women members. These committees are important as they are the ones that will face the elections.\"
The meeting chaired by Parrikar was attended by Chief Minister Laxmikant Parsekar, South Goa MP Narendra Sawaikar, BJP State President Vinay Tendulkar, among others.
When asked whether any strategies were discussed for upcoming election, he said, \"These need to be discussed by those coming up with new parties. Our things are going on for the last four years.\"
Sources however informed that Defence Minister held a meeting with Party\'s members in Panaji to hold discussion on the Corporation of City of Panaji election scheduled on March 6.
