Ponda police have registered an offense against two accused persons from Panaji in connection with assaulting a complainant from Bambolim. The incident occurred at Farmagudi.
Police informed that Rajesh Ghadi, from MES Quarters-Bambolim, had lodged a complaint stating that on September 7, accused persons Sanket Nevrekar and Gaurav, both from Panaji with their common intention wrongfully restrained him near Goa Engineering College, Farmagudi, and abused him using foul language.
The complainant also said that the accused persons physically assaulted him with slaps on his face and also threatened him with dire consequences.
The offense is registered under section 323, 341, 504, 506(ii) r/w 34 Act of Indian Penal Code. Police are further investigating the case.
