PANAJIActress Pooja Bedi has become the latest victim of cyber hacking with her e-commerce venture happysoul.in registered in Goa coming under cyber attack repeatedly. Bedi took to Twitter to disclose that the hackers had threatened to sell drugs from her website if she didn’t pay up a ransom amount.
The website came under attack on October 4 and the hackers told Bedi that they would hack all vendors listed on her site and use her website to sell drugs if she refused to transfer the demanded ransom amount into their e-wallet.
Bedi informed that although the Cyber Crime unit of Goa Police registered the case under IT Act against unknown accused, the police had failed to track the culprits. .She said that the Cyber Crime cell had sought assistance from the technical team of happysoul.in website to locate the hackers.
The actress alleged that the Cyber Crime police inspector was under quarantine and hence, no one was chasing cyber criminals in Goa.
