Staff members of the Nehru Yuva Kendra organized Mahatma Gandhi Swachhata Abhiyan by holding a cleanliness drive at the government Junta quarters, Pajifond-Margao on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti.
The staffers cleaned up the surroundings of the government quarters, as the litter and trash had made the entrance to the quarters an eyesore.
A couple of residents staying in the quarters also joined the cleanliness drive on the occasion.
The cleanliness drive gave a new look to the entrance of the government building, which also houses the office of Nehru Yuva Kendra.
The residents complimented the work done by the young office staffers of the NYK and thanked them for the gesture.
