The PWD on Monday razed down a portion of a house at Fatorda to pave way for the construction of the Arlem-Ravindra Bhavan four-lane road.
A portion of the house, which was partly demolished in November last under police protection, was demolished on Monday as per the orders issued by the deputy collector Uday Prabhudesai.
A small portion of the house, around 77 square meters to be precise was acquired by the PWD for the expansion of the Arlem-Ravindra Bhavan road. Work on the four-lane road is presently underway, with TCP Minster Vijai Sardesai exuding confidence on completion before monsoon.
