The Crime Branch arrested two more accused in the Porvorim shootout case, taking the total number of arrests to six. The accused have been identified as Arpudaraj alias Anna, 49, and Pavan Saur, 19, hailing from Tamil Nadu and Madhya Pradesh respectively.
Details shared with the media reveal that Anna is allegedly the second shooter in the case, besides Babu Ali, who was arrested two days ago near the Nepal border. The CB officials said Pavan was also actively involved in the alleged conspiracy.
Both were arrested by the Goa CB team in the jurisdiction of Lighthouse Police Station in Chennai.
"Anna’s current residence address is near Digha Railway Station in Mumbai and is originally from Idayangudi in Tirunelveli district of Tamil Nadu, while Pavan, also residing at the same place, is a native of Jugiyal in Tikamgarh district of Madhya Pradesh," the CB said.
The total number of arrests has reached six, with the CB team investigating the motive behind the attack on Majestic Casino Director Shrinivas Nayak and his bodyguard at the entrance on August 28.
