
Bollywood actor John Abraham inaugurated 6th edition of NoMoZo by releasing balloons in the air.

The 6th edition of the NoMoZo has been inaugurated by Bollywood star John Abraham on Sunday by releasing balloons in the air in the presence of Tourism Minister and Porvorim MLA Rohan Khaunte, Art and Culture Minister Govind Gaude, Dy Speaker Joshua D'Souza, Mandrem MLA Jit Arolkar, former MLA of Aldona Glen Ticlo and the panch members of Penha de Franca, Soccorro and Salvador do Mundo.
There were in all 12 zones including Heritage zone, IT and Science Zone, Youth zone, Fitness zone, Martial Art zone, Kids zone, Health zone, Art zone and Dance zone. In addition more than 100 stalls were set up offering variety of local cuisine, handmade products and eco-friendly goods.
The area near the square of Shivaji Maharaj statue in Porvorim wore a festive look as thousands of people participated in this programme. There were several stalls comprising of Goan food, snacks, jewellery, soft drinks, gift articles etc. The youths presented various Indian and Western dances and entertained the crowd. There were live demonstrations of sports like martial arts, Zumba, etc.
While speaking on this occasion actor John Abraham stated that Goa’s cultural heritage is very rich and this unique programme brings together all the sections of the society. Such types of programs should organized every year, he added.
Tourism Minister Rohan Khaunte stated that Centre has sanctioned Rs 100 crore for setting up Town square at Service road. He wanted to start the construction of this project soon so that next year NoMoZo can be held at Town square. Jit Arolkar, Govind Gaude, Joshua D’souza and Glen Ticlo also spoke on this occasion.
