Reacting sharply to the removal of Trinamool Congress (TMC) banners along the road between Airport and Verna on Wednesday, TMC leader Adv Yatish Naik said the BJP is worried about public love and support for the TMC in Goa.
“People in the state are unhappy with the BJP government and find TMC to be a credible alternative. They are moving towards the TMC and hence, the BJP in Goa has used government machinery to remove TMC flags and banners at various locations in the State,” said Naik, who had previously served as a former Congress general secretary.
“The BJP has removed TMC flags and banners, replacing them with their own banners because of Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s visit in the State. This is not the kind of politics that Goans appreciate,” he added.
