At the gram sabha meeting chaired by Sarpanch Edcy Fernandes, the panchayat also brought to the notice of meeting the follow up done with the department. It has been brought to notice that the demand of a new sub-station will be resolved. The village will be connected to the new sub-station that will be come up in Navelim.
Panch member Dominic Noronha also raised the issue of illegal filling of low-lying fields of Sarzora village. Noronha pointed out that the illegal filling of land will affect Dramapur village and the immediate ward of St Minguelwado, Tollebandh.
It was unanimously resolved to write to the TCP and the Sarzora panchayat objecting to any such activity. The meeting observed a minute’s silence as requested by the Sarpanch Edcy Fernandes in remembrance of late panch member Agostinho D’Costa followed by a felicitation programme.
Zilla member Edwin Cardozo (Cipru) and Felicia Rodrigues, ex-sarpanch of the village were invited to felicitate toppers at SSC, HSSC and graduation. A panchayat clerical staff, who completed 25 years of service, was also felicitated on the occasion.
