The convocation scheduled at 4.30 pm at Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Stadium, Bambolim will be attended by Governor Mridula Sinha and Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar.
Speaking to ‘The Goan’, an official of Goa University informed, “We have also extended invitation to cabinet ministers, MLAs and a few other prominent people in the State for the function.” Additionally, one of the colleges across the State will be honoured with the ‘Cleanest College’ Award. “In the light of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Swachh Bharat Mission, the Governor had advised zeroing down on the cleanest college in the State. Accordingly, GU had appointed a committee which conducted a survey of all the colleges based on several parameters,” said the official.
