The prime accused in a brutal assault case, Ramkrishna Uttam Bhalekar, alias RK (32), of Laxminagar, Mapusa, was finally apprehended by police in Amboli, Maharashtra.

RK had been evading capture for the past 22 days. The attack, which occurred on May 30, left two individuals severely injured, including Ahmed Devadi, who succumbed to his injuries a few days ago while receiving treatment.

RK was intercepted while travelling through Amboli, Maharashtra, following a series of nearly half a dozen raids conducted across multiple locations in Goa and Maharashtra. The assault took place in an isolated area in Ganeshpuri, Mapusa, due to a personal dispute.
