The villagers had complained that bus service in the area was poor.
According to the villagers, as there are less number of buses plying along the Priol-Apewal route, they are forced to travel to Ponda and then board a bus from other route. Sarpanch Mangaldas Gaude assured to look into the matter. The villagers have also demanded deployment of a home guard at Mardol Masjid and at traffic police at Mardol bus stand to avoid traffic congestion.
The meet also discussed the issue of cattle squatting on roads and decided to have a cattle pound. The panchayat assured to have a cattle pound.
Panchayat secretary Kapil Naik was also present.
Priol demands better bus services on internal roads
The Veling-Priol-Cuncoliem gram sabha on Sunday decided to approach the department concerned to increase the number of buses along the Priol to Apewal-Keri route.
