CANACONA: Property worth over Rs 2 lakh was gutted in a fire to a house at Khola-Canacona on Monday morning.
According to Canacona Fire Services, a call was received at about 10.30 am stating that a house was in flames and by the time the fire tenders reached, the house had already suffered damages. The fire was finally brought under control, however the house belonging to Sathyavati Pagi suffered loss of over Rs 2 lakh, informed the fire personnel.
Fire services sources further informed their timely intervention prevented further damages.
