MARGAO: Taking serious cognizance of the desecration cases registered against accused Francis Pereira falling like hair pins before the courts, the Director of Prosecution Sarojini Sardinha on Thursday sent an SOS to the Assistant Public Prosecutors to compile and forward the list of cases where the accused has been discharged by the courts.
Moments after four more desecrations could not stand the scrutiny of the courts, the Prosecution Director is believed to have conveyed a message to the Assistant Public Prosecutors to apply for the court orders and forward all the case papers to her office immediately.
Accordingly, the prosecutors are believed to have applied to the courts for the orders discharging the accused in the nine cases.
