Bajrang Dal activist Harsha’s murder in Karnataka had an echo in Margao on Tuesday as a group of lovers of Hinduism condemned what they called a despicable act of murder of the youth and demanded justice for his family.
While demanding the hanging of the accused involved in the dastardly murder, the group further demanded that the government hand over the case to the National Investigation Agency (NIA) to take the investigations to a logical conclusion.
Rajiv Jha pointed out that the group has not come together at the Margao municipal garden to pay respect to the deceased Harsha under any organization banner but to strongly condemn the murder as lovers of Hinduism.
He sought to know how the minorities can claim they are living in fear when in fact it is the majority that is being targeted by the miscreants under one issue or other.
“These people consider Hijab more valuable than human life. Just imagine they could take away the life of a youngster because of a post on Hijab. This only goes to show that they are more concerned about Hijab than human life”, he said.
Demanding Uniform Civil Code across the country, Jha said a Uniform Civil Code will do away with issues such as Hijab, saying all the students, irrespective of religion, caste or creed will be guided under it.
Another youngster Sagar Revankar said the killing of the young Bajrang Dal activist in Karnataka is condemnable, saying those who profess the ideology of keeping the interest of the nation first are being targeted by some groups.
