The PWD has begun the works to give a face-lift to the sorroundings of Agonda Church with the laying of pavers in its vicinity.
According to the PWD in Canacona, the tender is finalised and the work order has been issued to a contractor to provide pavers in the open area of about 600 sq. mtrs around the church premises at an estimated cost of Rs 18 lakh.
Canacona MLA Isidore Fernandes launched the work on Tuesday in the presence of Agonda Parish priest Fr Romeo D’Silva, Agonda Sarpanch Pramod Phaldessai, Dy Sarpanch Abel Borges and others.
