Public Works Department (PWD) Minister Digambar Kamat has said that he has no power to initiate any action in the job scam, saying only the Chief Minister Pramod Sawant can issue directions in the matter.
When the media sought his comment on the name of a PWD Engineer figuring as one of the accused persons in the job scam, Kamat shot back saying the media is posing a wrong question to a wrong person. “I have no powers to initiate action. The police department is presently investigating into the matter. After the police department sends a report to the Chief Minister, the CM will then issue necessary directions, I have no power to initiate action”, he asserted.
