The Konkan Railway Police have arrested a 29-year-old man from Odisha after allegedly finding him in possession of 2.889 kg of ganja worth Rs 2,88,890 at Margao railway station.
The raid was conducted on Saturday on platform No. 6 by a team led by PSI Roosevelt Fernandes of the Konkan Railway Police Station.
The accused, Deepak Ray, a resident of Kartraka, Damadua, Gajapati district, Odisha, was apprehended during the operation.
The ganja, weighing 2.889 kg and valued at Rs 2,88,890, was seized under a search and seizure panchnama.
Further investigation is under way.
