In a show of national unity and interfaith solidarity, the Raj Bhavan on Saturday hosted a ‘Sarva Dharma Sadasu’ (All-Religious Gathering) to collectively condemn Pakistan’s unethical actions against India.
The event was held at the Durbar Hall of Raj Bhavan.
The gathering brought together religious leaders from various faiths—Hinduism, Christianity, Islam, and Sikhism—who offered prayers and words of support for the Indian Armed Forces and the Union Government’s efforts to uphold the nation’s sovereignty.
Governor PS Sreedharan Pillai and Chief Minister Pramod Sawant were present at the event. The Governor, in his address, stressed the importance of unity and truth.
“Dharma is truth, and truth will always prevail. Ultimately, evil will fail,” he said.
Among the religious figures who addressed the gathering were Padma Shri awardee Sadguru Brahmeshanand Acharya Swamiji, Fr. Lawrence, Fr. Noel D’Costa, Shri Gurmej Singh, and Maulana Mohd. Irfan Raza.
Each speaker voiced support for the armed forces and central leadership, calling for continued unity among all communities.
The event aimed to send a message that, despite differences in religion, the people of India stand together in defending the country’s integrity.
