In a strong show of patriotism and solidarity with the Indian Armed Forces, BJP leaders across Mormugao Taluka on Saturday organised Tiranga rallies as part of Operation Sindoor, aimed at boosting the morale of Indian soldiers serving at the borders.

In Mormugao, local MLA Sankalp Amonkar led a large rally along with residents, carrying Indian flags and placards supporting the armed forces.

The event culminated with tributes being paid to martyr Lt. Narendra Mayekar, a native of Jetty, who laid down his life while battling ULFA militants.

In Vasco, the BJP Mandal organised a Tiranga Yatra that commenced at the Vasco Railway Station and concluded at Hutatma Chowk.

The streets were filled with a sea of tricolours as hundreds of party workers, citizens, and supporters joined the march, chanting patriotic slogans and carrying banners that conveyed their unwavering support for the armed forces.

In the Dabolim Constituency, another rally was held, beginning from the Last Bus Stop at New Vaddem and ending at the Minister’s Office in the area.

Panchayats Minister Mauvin Godinho led the Dabolim rally and addressed the gathering at the conclusion of the march.

As cries of “Jai Hind” and “Bharat Mata Ki Jai” echoed through the streets, the Tiranga rallies across Mormugao became a powerful tribute to the bravery and dedication of the Indian Armed Forces.
