MARGAO
A large number of people took part in the Tiranga Yatra held on Saturday evening.
The rally passed through the main roads of the city and ended at the historic Lohia Maidan in Margao.
Carrying the Indian Tricolour, participants shouted slogans against Pakistan and showed support for the brave Jawans fighting terrorists and Pakistani forces in the ongoing conflict.
Margao MLA Digambar Kamat, Navelim MLA Ulhas Tuemkar, and BJP members from Margao, Navelim, and Curtorim joined the rally.
Former Deputy Chief Minister Manohar Ajgaonkar also took part.
The MLAs said Indian soldiers had given a strong response to terrorists and the Pakistani army.
They added that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had taken the right steps to act against terror groups and Pakistan to stop cross-border terrorism.
