Law and order issues have once again surfaced on the troubled Margao Station Road. A resident of Gandhi Market, Sonu Tirkey, has filed a complaint with the Margao police stating that four individuals — Mastan, Aftab, Gotya, and an unknown person — stopped him with the intention of causing harm. He said they threatened him with a knife and hit him with a hammer at Malbhat.
He further alleged that the group assaulted him and took his belongings, including a light purple Redmi 5G mobile phone worth Rs 11,000, wireless earbuds worth Rs 1,000, and Rs 400 in cash. The total value of the stolen items is around Rs 12,400. Police have arrested all four accused. They have been remanded to five days in police custody by JMFC, Margao.
